This is the press release that Readers Magnet sent to Webwire about the San Diego Union-Tribune Festival of Books for 2023:
Most memoirs tell only the story of the person writing it. But for Judith Cottingham Perkins, a motorhome traveler of 48 states, her memoir tells both her story and the stories of many who came before her. All of it can be found in her book Life and Love Continue, a compilation of both childhood memories and the meticulous work of tying them to a bigger family history. This dedicated work will be exhibited by self-publishing and book marketing company Readers Magnet at the San Diego Union-Tribune.
The San Diego Union-Tribune Festival of Books celebrates not only the printed page but the stories told on them Dozens of biographies and memoirs will be exhibited at the event.
The Printer’s Row Lit Fest 2023 will be on 9/9/23 and 9/10/23 in Chicago.
Printer’s Row was once the home of many publishing houses that helped authors pull off ambitious projects, be it poetry, fiction and books sharing knowledge of a wide range of subjects. My book, Life and Love Continue will be featured at the festival this year.
The manuscript for my first novel was sent to the publisher on 8/23/23. I am excited to see how it looks in print. The title is Journey to the Pacific, One Man’s Quest. I am working on a sequel to it now.
The San Diego Union-Tribune Festival of Books was held on August 19, 2023 and was success. Hurricane Hillary caused the attendance to be lower than expected, but the response from the attendees was positive. So now, on to Chicago and the Printer’s Row Lit Fest on 9/9 and 9/10/23.
It just so happens that 9/9/23 is my 56th Wedding anniversary, so it is a good day to have a book festival. I think maybe Alan and I will go to the beach for a couple of days.
Looking forward to the new book! Do you have a publishing date yet?
