Today is June 2nd and the forecast says we are suppose to have as much rain today as we normally have in all the month of June. i am really ready for some warmer weather. Having three blankets over me at night and wearing a sweater in the house all day is getting a little old. I want to get out in my flower beds and get my hands dirty in the soil. But the soil is mud today.

So, I am inside cleaning out a lot of the extra stuff we have accumulated. The park we live in is having a community wide garage sale the end of this month. We were not going to participate this year, but I have been going through clothes, jewelry, music, yarn, books and DVD’s and it looks like we will have a fairly large sale. i will be glad to get rid of all of the extra stuff.

We are also getting ready to go to Denver over the Fourth of July. We will be at the Kiwanis International Convention until the 7th of July, then we will fly to New Orleans, rent a car and drive to McComb, Mississippi to visit our son, daughter-in-law, two granddaughters and our brand new Great-Granddaughter born in May. We will be there for a few days, then fly home. It will be a good vacation for us and I am looking forward to renewing some old friendships and making some new friends at the convention in Denver.
