New Happenings

Journey to the Pacific is out and doing fairly well. I do have a sequel written and hopefully will be published later the year. It is called “The Emancipation of William Jones, Jr.” It follows the life of William Jones, the baby that was born to Anna at the end of Journey to the Pacific. The book will also follow the growth of the town of Rawlings, Washington. It was a fun book to write.

I just sent to the publisher the revised edition of Life and Love Continue. When I originally wrote it, I did not do a good job of editing it and wasn’t happy with the errors in the book. Also, I forgot to mention things that happened in my life that should have been written about. So the book will be re-published and hopefully the additions will add some clarity.

In January, I fell and broke my foot. It has hampered my mobility quite a bit, but I am doing physical therapy now and it is getting much better. I have been working with my local Kiwanis Club as their President and having a great time. The area where I live, Parkland/Spanaway has a large number of homeless children. Our club is trying to work with organizations who provide services to those kids. We will also be presenting eight $1500.00 scholarships to deserving students this spring. The beauty of our scholarships is that they do not have to go to a four year college. The money is for any type of post-secondary education or training. I have had the privilege of presenting some of these scholarships to deserving students in the past and it is one of the more rewarding experiences I have had. I am looking forward to a trip to Denver in July to the Kiwanis International Convention. I always learn a lot at these conventions.

Time is up for this morning. Please have a blessed day. And, if you have a story to tell, write it down. It can be a real blessing to you and to your family.
